Abstract

Today the furniture industry is growing rapidly by utilizing wood materials processed forest
products, while waste processed products are very much found. Wood waste utilization of used
containers can be used as home furnishings (furniture), and can also increase revenue furniture
craftsmen. Problems faced by the craftsmen of wooden furniture, especially IbM partners that
provided very simple design and the lack of skills of craftsmen making it less attractive to
consumers. The purpose of the training program IbM group of woodworking craftsmen is making
examples of wooden furniture multi function sofa design made from waste wood container that is
destined for a very simple home building. The method used in the form of counseling activities,
and training, as well as assistance of members of partner business groups conducted by
Participatory Methods. The results achieved is the increasing knowledge of the group of wooden
furniture craftsmen in the form / model design furniture multifunction sofa sofa that is more
creative and innovative with tidal dismantling system easily moved to another place.
