Abstract

Information systems are one of the solutions to the problems facing organizations, and are useful for
dealing with challenges in the present. In addition, information systems also play an important role
in the decision-making process, therefore required information relevant to the needs of the
organization. The main purpose of the application of information systems in an organization is to
assist individuals in making decisions, but also to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the
organization as a whole. This study aims to determine the effect of system quality and quality of
information both individually and collectively to the satisfaction of users of information systems, then
know which among the quality of the system and the quality of information dominant influence the
user satisfaction of academic information system in IKIP Budi Utomo Malang. The population of
this research is lecturer of IKIP Budi Utomo Malang using academic information system, sampling
technique used by Probability Sampling by Cluster Random Sampling, sample size is taken by using
Slovin formula, Data retrieval using primary data and secondary data and data analysis technique
used with t test and f test and multiple regression analysis. The results showed that the quality of the
system and the quality of information significantly influence both individually and collectively, the
quality of information is the dominant variable affecting the user satisfaction of academic
information system in IKIP Budi Utomo Malang.
