Abstract

One element of the comfort of the building can be viewed from the aspect of heat transfer that
occurs in the building. Narotama Mosque is one of the mosque that uses natural ventilation where
the condition of the room is directly influenced conditions outside in the morning, a day and a
night. The influence of the external thermal on the inside of the mosque can be identified by the
total energy of the heat transfer. The study was conducted on the mosque building by reviewing the
amount of OTTV and simulation using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). The OTTV
calculation results show a value of 34.94 W / m2. These results indicate that the heat transfer in the
room is lower than the SNI standard, while the simulation results show that temperatures ranged
from 31-32 ° C, indicating the presence of outdoor conditions indirectly affect the conditions in the
room. This is caused by the ventilation of the mosque that is too wide
