Abstract

The tourism sector is a matter of concern to the government at this time. Improvements to the
management of tourist attractions, especially in the province of Gorontalo to the attention through
the Department of Tourism. The purpose of this research is to create a mobile-based applications
android with Geographic Information System technology to facilitate domestic and foreign tourists
to explore the Gorontalo region. The method of developing this application is a prototype by creating
an application which will then be refined through the request process from the user. This application
provides convenience in terms of tourist information, road routes, and the price of each tourist
attraction to be visited. With the application of tourism Gorontalo, in addition to facilitating the
tourists also improve the economy of the community due to the increasing number of tourists visiting
the archipelago and abroad in Gorontalo
