ANALISIS POTENSI HASIL LAUT TERHADAP KESEJAHTERAAN MASYARAKAT

Abstract

Lamongan has 47 km of coastline, then sea water area of Lamongan regency is 902,4 km2
(including area 12 miles from coastline). This fact shows that the prospect of fisheries and
marine development is considered very bright and become one of strategic economic activities.
The purpose of this study is to determine the production of marine products and to determine the
potential of marine fisheries to the welfare of communities in Lamongan regency. This research is
classified as applied research applied in fishery field. The methode use in this research is to
conduct literarture study and field study and conduct FGD. The results of this study is the number
of fishermen in the district Lamongan Is 22,730 people, which is devided into two groups of
fisherman workes 18,455 people and fishermen skipper or owner of 4725 people. The number of
cathching fleets 5,345 pieces anda 8,306 pieces of fishing gear as well as the fish landing center
(PPI), namely : Lohgung, Labuhan, Brondong, Kranji and Weru, and the increasing number of
fishery productivity have an effect on the welfare of the community with an indication of the
increasing number of SMEs in Lamongan District.
