Abstract

Entrepreneurship Development Program in Higher Education is conducted in the form of Student
Business Incubator which is a program with mission to produce independent entrepreneur based
on science and technology, through an integrated program involving lecturers managing
Incubators, Resources, Companies and Institutional entrepreneurship off campus. Student
Business Incubator Activities include: development of entrepreneurial spirit, management
training and business skills for tenants, business consulting, visit in established companies and
facilitating tenants in entrepreneurship to produce new entrepreneurs. Tenant establishes and
enhances the skills to support the management and marketing of products in laboratories at the
universities that have been prepared. To broaden the insights and marketing network, the Student
Business Incubator also collaborates with institutions related to entrepreneurship development, the Craftsman Association, the Culinary Association, the Chambers of Commerce and Industry,
and others. Skills and management training are conducted to provide entrepreneurial knowledge,
encourage entrepreneurship motivation, improve management (organization, production,
finance, and marketing) understanding and create business plans or feasibility studies. Some
tenants attend an internship at a partner SME companies to provide students with
entrepreneurial practical experience by participating in the day-to-day work of the business unit.
Students who are interested or new pioneering efforts can perfect the entrepreneurial activities
that have been done before. Business Incubator Manager explore the tenant business
commodities in accordance with their talents and interests. Every year the Student Business
Incubator carries out entrepreneurship motivation to 30 students who are pioneering new
business, then from that number selected 20 people become tenant. At the end of the program, the
target is to eradicate a minimum of 8 students into new entrepreneurs with various fields of
business, including: craft, culinary, and service business.
