Abstract

This study aims to change the image from graylevel to binary form. Thresholding is the process of changing the image from graylevel to binary form. The thresholding process is also called binary. In this study, will change the image of dental panoramic to binary form using Fuzzy combined method and Self Organizing Map (SOM). The fuzzy process for composing an image from rgb or color to grayscale and SOM converts the image from grayscale to binary. In addition to binaryization, researchers also compared the binary process between SOM and SOM fuzzy combined. It is expected that from SOM fuzzy method can change dental panoramic image to black and white better and can be used next computer vision process. Fuzzy used is fuzzy mamdani. The application used in this research is Matlab.
