Abstract

Application of IT governance these days portrays that organisations have trouble in finding the best model or framework of IT governance that suits the unique atmosphere environment. As long as any organization needs to implement IT governance based on the characteristics of the organization that has unique characteristics and will not be the same as other organizations. This paper aims to identify contributions of organisational culture towards a proper IT governance application. A descriptive approach is conducted to objectively expose an analysis of IT governance implementation in consideration of organisational culture perspective. The result emphasises the role of organisational culture in boosting the organisation’s performance and success in IT improvement. Furthermore, it also acts as a recommendation for organisations to design better IT governance which is suitable for organisation strategies and vision.
