Abstract

Along with the development of technology, computers play an important role in the learning process in addition to using conventional methods such as textbooks and explanations from teachers. Computer-assisted learning media can be used as an effective learning tool for students in general. For students with special needs, this instructional media is very effective to be used as a learning tool for students. Deaf is a person who lacks or loses the ability to hear either partially or completely. The function of the hearing-impaired child's hearing will lead to a delay in the learning process. This can have an impact on his life. Mathematics is a material that requires students' understanding and memory. Therefore, media delivery factors need to be optimized. This study aims to develop interactive multimedia as an independent learning alternative to help mastering mathematics materials for deaf students with Research and Development (R & D) method. The results showed that the developed intermediate multimedia has been feasible to be used as an independent learning media of Deaf students with an accuracy of 85.46%.
