TINGKAT MEMBACA PEMAHAMAN SISWA SMAN 2 LAMONGAN

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of ability to read students' understanding of SMAN 2 Lamongan. The focus of this research consists of (1) literal reading comprehension level; (2) inferential; (3) critical; and (4) creative students of SMAN 2 Lamongan. The research design used in this research is one-shot case study. The sample in this research is 30 students. The data were collected using test. Analysis of research data is done by calculating the percentage of the average value of students and the percentage. Result in this study that literal comprehension ability of students of SMAN 2 Lamongan is stated low with the average acquisition value 54,67. The reading level of the inferential comprehension of students of SMAN 2 Lamongan is stated very low with the average gain of 37,67. The reading level of critical understanding of students of SMAN 2 Lamongan is stated low with the average acquisition value of 40.33. Level reading of creative understanding of students SMAN 2Lamongan stated very low with the average acquisition value of 36.67 with benchmark value of 26.67. The average overall reading level of students' understanding of SMAN 2 Lamongan obtained an average value of 39.86. From the acquisition of students' reading comprehension ability SMAN 2 Lamongan is said to be very low.
