Abstract

Scholarships for student in schools aims to motivate students to improve student
scores, assist parents in funding education and increase achievement in learning.
Granting scholarships to students of Al Hasanah Islamic Primary School requires
certain criteria related to academic and non academic value, such as average report
score, written test score, and practice test score according to school policy. In the
previous scholarship determination, there is no method of calculation that suits the
needs, so often experience double or equal results. Therefore an application is
needed that can help the principal to make decisions on the provision of scholarships
in accordance with the criteria and weighting criteria for the calculation results do
not double. The application is a decision support system that will calculate the value
of each student based on predetermined criteria. The results of the calculations will
show the rank of each student according to the grade level. Weighted Product
method is chosen because it can complete the criteria calculation because WP
method can determine the weight value in each attribute of the number of students.
With the WP method in this application, it can be easier for users to calculate and
select the scholarship recipients in accordance with predetermined criteria.
