PENGEMBANGAN DESTINASI DAN DAYA TARIK WISATA AIR TERJUN SEBAGAI DAERAH TUJUAN WISATA

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to 1)analyze the development of trap sewu waterfall from the perspective of tourism development and tourists, 2) examine the factors that support the impact and waterfall trap sewu that developed as a tourist destination in Lumajang District. This research uses descriptive qualitative research method with case study approach. Data sources from interviews with informants and related documents,and purposive sampling used in this study. Data collection techniques use observation, interview and documentation. Validity using source triangulation, anddata analysis using interactive model. The results of this study show that the development of Sewu Trap Waterfall has improved the quality of tourism management and service, marked by the increasing number of tourist visit of Trap Sewu Waterfall. Development of tourism area in Sewu Trap Waterfall is also accompanied by participating communities, who are selling food or souvenirs in a tourist area, and also managing the parking area. The participation of Bodang Village community to develop tourism area could be seen in the development of tourism object and the role of society and local mothers association in making unique food and drink, and making souvenir of Bodang Village. Furthermore, this condition is expected to improve the welfare and quality of life of Bodang Village community.
