Abstract

This paper describes mobile robot prototypes controlled by voice over android
smart phone. Robot uses the main components of Arduino Nano
Microcontroller, two DC motors, DC motor drive circuit, and HC-05 bluetooth
module. The software consists of C ++ applied to Arduino and Android MIT
App Inventor. It used to design the Application on smart phones. The software
in the arduino is used to capture text data commands that have been sent by the
smart phone, then the it processed and used to control the DC motor. Voice
recognition with smart phone via android application designed using MIT App
Inventor. Voice recognition utilizes Google Speech Recognition. From the
experimental results, the robot can be controlled by voice via smart phone.
Smart phones’ voice recognitionsensitivity depends on internet network access
speed.
