Abstract

Kediri City Tamanan Terminal is a type-A terminal managed by the Ministry of
Transportation and is a check point for inter-city bus between provinces that passing
through the city of Kediri. One of the tasks of Ministry of Transportation is to record
the bus and the number of passengers at the time of coming in and coming out of the
terminal. At present, bus and passenger data collection is still using manual method,
that is by writing on paper. The disadvantage of this method is that the data written
on the paper must be re-write to the computer for further processing. This is time
consuming, causing inefficient in work, and also, the human error factor can cause
the data entered into the computer to be invalid.This study aims to develop Android
mobile applications that can facilitate the process of data collecting on bus and
passengers The technology used in the form of cloud computing technology and QR
Code technology. Cloud technology is used to store and process data of number of
passanger and to process the data of buses that coming in and coming out of the
terminal. QR Code is used to store the identity of the bus in a sheet of ID Card that
will be scanned when the bus coming in and coming out of the terminal. Based on
the results of the experiment, the results obtained in the form of time efficiency on
data collecting of bus and passenger, increased by 289%
