Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of motivation on the quality of education through the competence of elementary school teachers in South Sorong.The population in this study amounted to 107 teachers, of the total existing teachers researchers made the whole sample and analyzed using SEM with the help of the AMOS program. The results showed that 1 could influence motivation on teacher competency, 2 motivation had an effect on the quality of education, 3 teacher competencies had no effect on the quality of education, 4 motivation did not affect the quality of education through teacher competency in South Sorong
